Plinth Hire - Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all plinth hire bookings through Flowers by Tracey. They outline the requirements for bond payments, delivery, care of hire items and return obligations. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

Bond
A refundable security bond is required: $100 for standard delivery, or $200 for DIY pickup. The bond will be refunded within 3 business days once all hire items are returned in their original condition. Deductions may be made for cleaning, damage, loss or late fees as outlined below.

Damage or Loss
Any damage, breakage or loss will be charged at full replacement value and deducted from the bond. If replacement costs exceed the bond, the hirer agrees to pay the outstanding balance within 7 days.

Cleaning Requirements
All hire items must be returned clean, dry and free from marks, tape, glue, food residue or other substances. A $30 cleaning fee will be deducted from the bond if extra cleaning is required.

Hire Period & Late Returns
The standard hire period is three consecutive days. Longer hire may be arranged in advance at an agreed rate. If items are not returned within the three-day hire period (and no extension has been arranged), a late fee of 25% of the hire fee per day will apply and may be deducted from the bond or invoiced separately.

Outdoor Use
Plinths must be placed on a level surface and kept under cover at all times. They must not be left outdoors overnight or exposed to rain, wind or extreme weather conditions.

Delivery & Collection
Delivery fees are as follows:
Point Cook - $20
Within 15 km - $60
16–30 km - $80
31–50 km - $100

End-of-event collection by Flowers by Tracey can be arranged for an additional fee based on the time and location of your event.

Repositioning During Events
If plinths need to be moved from one location to another during your event:
Same Venue - $80 (includes up to 1.5 hours wait time; additional waiting charged at $40/hr)
Different Venue - $150 within 15 km (additional charges apply for longer distances or after-hours moves)

All repositioning must be confirmed at the time of booking to ensure availability.

DIY Transport / Self-Collection
Self-collection requires a suitable enclosed vehicle. The bond increases to $200 for DIY transport. All items must be transported securely and returned in the same condition.

Booking Confirmation
Your booking is confirmed once both the hire fee and bond have been paid in full.

Substitution
In the unlikely event an item becomes unavailable due to damage or loss prior to your event, Flowers by Tracey may substitute it with a similar item of equal value.

Photography Use
Flowers by Tracey may take photographs of hire items at your event and use these images for promotional purposes, including social media, website and marketing materials. Flowers by Tracey may also re-share client or photographer images featuring the hire items, with credit where possible.
If there are restrictions on photography, it is the client’s responsibility to notify Flowers by Tracey prior to the event.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, this clause applies to all bookings.
